Diesel Technician

 

Sioux Falls Truck & Trailer is looking to fill our Diesel Technician position.

A Diesel Service Technician must be able to:

  • Diagnose and repair equipment including compactors, excavators, loaders and other heavy construction equipment
  • Respond promptly to customer needs in a positive, supportive and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed
  • Communicate job progress to supervisor and customer as needed
  • Complete service reports, order parts and maintain clear customer records

Qualifications:

  • Two year technical degree and/or equivalent job experience in the diesel/equipment field.. 
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, undercarriage, track systems and components, pneumatic, electrical and fuel systems.
  • Previous experience working on equipment is a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent diagnostic and trouble-shooting skills.
  • Computer, written and verbal communication skills.
