Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our finance team. As the Assistant Controller, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and efficient internal controls. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to the company's financial success and growth.
Responsibilities:
· Assist the Controller in overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the organization.
· Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
· Ensure accurate and timely completion of financial close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
· Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
· Assist with preparing workpapers for the annual external audit
. Record all vehicles sales into the accounting system
. Assist with reconciliation of bank accounts and lending accounts.
. Responsible for all aspects of fixed asset accounting, including recording of depreciation.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's or Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, related field or equivalent work experience
· 5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
· Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
· Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
· Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and precision in financial reporting.
· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with internal teams and external partners.
·Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant office software.
· Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
· Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
· Knowledge of regulatory compliance and experience working with auditors.
· Adaptability and willingness to take on new responsibilities as the company evolves.
